American Game
Team USA sports, domestic competition and Americans playing abroad | @UnitedStateside
About @UnitedStateside
I'm an athlete who enjoyed English class and likes the internet. I'd rather go outside and play the game but, if I have to be inside, I want to be thinking, writing and applying myself to electronic information and if it's sports-related, even better.
This started as a Twitter handle to explore and promote the state of soccer (world football) in my region. After a time, my love of other sports was being neglected and I decided to include them. I changed the name to UnitedStateside and began following and ReTweeting everything about American Sports, especially our soccer.
Now, I do my best to track sports on an International level while maintaining my roots in American soil.
When the best athletes come to America for an exhibition or one of our own goes abroad to compete and perform I will have my eyes on it.
While at home, I'm also tuned in to the best competition this country has to offer including major events like:
Super Bowl
World Series
NBA Finals
Stanley Cup
Daytona 500
PBR Championship
NWSL Final
and more
I'll also look out for Team USA in various international competitions including the Olympics and the World Cup.
As of 2019, this mostly consists of ReTweets on Twitter but, I've taken an interest in summarizing and offering my own views on some of these events.
Although, I try to remain impartial and include every city's point of view when it comes to our domestic competitions, I also offer some of my own opinions about the games and I'm not ashamed of who I root for.
Baseball is also very special to me so, there is a stand alone channel for it.
